IPL T-20 CRICKET 2008

What a great event it had been, It was for the first time when Bollywood and cricket joined hands with each other and made Indian Premier League a huge success worldwide. The winning team Rajasthan Royals really played like royals, although they were the underdogs at the start of the League. The winning captain Shane Warne again proved why he dominated on cricket field for a decade. The only Foreign captain Shane warne defeated all other Indian captains. What IPL has been is that it is a huge platform for young cricketers who were talented but did not had the stage to prove themselves,IPL has given them the stage and we can see a huge list of players emerging out of it.

Players like Yousuf Pathan, Asnodkar, Marsh, Goswami, Patel, Goni and definitely Shane Watson have proved that they can compete with the best. I would also appreciate the efforts of Mr.Lalit Modi who managed this League management with ease. Seeing Bollywood actors like Shahrukh khan,Aamir Khan,Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar on the field also made it more interesting.Shahrukh Khan really promoted his team Kolkata Knight Riders well.

The Final Match between Dhoni's team and Warne's team was the best match in the IPL,also the match between Kings 11 Punjab and Mumbai Indians in which Yuvraj wins match for the Kings 11 Punjab.Atlast the most benefited by IPL  were Indian cricketers because they got a chance to play with legends of the game like Warne, Sachin and Jayasuriya.

T-20 WORLD CUP FINAL 2007 

It changed the shape of cricket. Each and every match of the world cup 2007 t 20 was worth watching. Australia the undefeatables defeated by Zimbabwe assured other teams that they can also beat the Aussies.India started there campaign with a bang by beating rivals Pakistan 3-0.Yes i m right 3-0 its not a football match..it was a bowl out because as expected India Pakistan matches are very close and it also was one of them and it resulted in a draw. The complete 20 20 was as if it was scripted by god. India only lost to New Zealand chasing a huge total. Indians played extraordinary well ,who can forget six 6's of Yuvraj Singh of England pace man Stuart Broad.R.P Singh, SreeSanth bowled extremely well against South Africans.Now they entered the semis and met the World Champions Australians and defeated them which was unexpected though they made a huge target. It was all dramatic. India vs Pakistan in the final of t20 world cup, what more a cricket fan will desire. Everyone again expected a close game and as expected it was a close game. It went up to last over and India won some how although Misbah UL haq really played well. I remember Ravi Shastri commenting on Misbah that his mind works like a computer. it really does.Joginder Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni really planned out the last over well.Dhoni said "We believe in playing fearless cricket result does not matter" at end of the game. Well done and salute to Dhoni's army.  

SACHIN THE GREAT

Cricket is type of religion in India and Sachin is its god.Sachin Tendulkar undoubtedly has been the best in the business since he started his career...highest runs in one day cricket i.e over 16000 runs,highest runs in test cricket in India, highest matches in one day cricket ,highest century in one day cricket, highest century in test cricket, highest 50’s in one day cricket, highest runs in one day cricket i.e over 16000 runs, highest runs in international cricket, highest no of 90’s in one day cricket i.e over 17 times, Maximum no. of Man of the match in one day cricket i.e over 55 times.First man to reach 10000 runs in one day cricket,First man to become reach 15000 runs in one day cricket,First man to score above 40 centuries etc.These records says it all. He performs under the pressure of millions of Indians who always expect Sachin to score a hundred every match he plays. He is a run machine which can only stop the day he desires to retire.Sachin's most memorable innings i remember was in 1998 coca cola cup in which he single handedly took over the mighty Australians and preventing India from going out of series by first winning India a bonus point and then a win. He was tremendous in the 2003 World Cup, he almost scored in every match at a high average. Sachin  said "impossible is nothing as impossible is a word found in dictionary of fools"..Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has often been compared with greats like Sir Donald Bradman and Viv Richards.Sachin Tendulkar's idol players include Sunil Gavaskar and Viv Richards.Sachin is a genius ,only this word can define Sachin. 

INDIA VS PAKISTAN |||| ENGLAND VS AUSTRALIA

Which of following teams you love watching playing each other India vs Pakistan or England vs Australia. Both teams are considered to be rivals of each other. The stadiums get fully packed when they play against each other ..sometimes over packed ,then it doesn't matter whether it is a test match or a one day or a T 20 match or a friendly match. Who can forget the recent Ashes series which England won from Australia, every minute of the game was worth watching. One of the test match was so close that it could had been a draw..ya i know so many matches gets drawn due to high scores or rain but this one could had got drawn as per innings scores equaling but England won the game somehow by 2 runs.India-Pakistan matches also have same intensity and passion. In the recent T 20 matches what a great tied match we had between India and Pakistan and Dhoni won the game 3-0 from Pakistan in a bowl out situation. Another Pakistan India match i remember is the 2004 Pakistan series match in which India scored 349 in 50 overs and Pakistan almost was on verge of winning the game. They required a six from the last ball but India was lucky enough to win because it was not Javed Maindad this time on the field although he supported his team from outside. Well which ever pair you support i like both rivals matches. 

INDIA VS PAKISTAN TRI NATION SERIES FINAL 2008

In India vs Pakistan Tri nation series final India were left 25 runs short, chasing 316 runs to win the tri-series.Younis khan 's century along with Salman butt century took the game away from Indians. The Pakistani batsman made the maximum use of conditions which were not at all bowler friendly. They kept the wickets in store till the last ball which resulted in scoring a huge target. The combination of a fine spell by Umar Gul (4-57) along with Salman and Younis innings did it for Pakistan. Although Indians batted well but kept on losing wickets time and again.Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh played well but none of the two were able to stand at the wicket till the end .Mahendra Dhoni charged on the bowlers in last few over's but unfortunately got out playing on the off side. India continues losing in the finals, this is there 7th defeat in last 10 finals played.

RETIREMENT OF SOURAV GANGULY-ANIL KUMBLE

Well, It is an end of an Era. All youngsters watched these men from there childhood days and now they are going ..bidding farewell to cricket. Sourav Ganguly one of the finest captains of Team India and a great off side player. Rahul Dravid once said there is God and after him its Sourav Ganguly on the off side. Who can forget Sourav Ganguly great achievements. HE has more than 10,000 runs in ODI cricket; highest ODI score by an Indian in World Cup; first Indian captain to win a Test series in Pakistan; India captain in most number of Tests. His Taking out shirt at Lords after mammoth chase of 325 runs. His taking India to World Cup 2003 Finals. Who can forget these achievements. Another  legend like him Anil Kumble.. whose face shows his dedication towards his work also announced his retirement after 3rd test against the Australians. He is the highest wicket taker for India. He will be remembered for his 10 wicket haul against Pakistan which he took on the same ground where he announced his retirement. Talking of his achievements here are a few..  Highest wicket-taker for India in ODIs and Tests; best bowling figure by an Indian in a ODI (6-12 against West Indies); one of only two bowlers ever to have taken all 10 wickets in a Test innings; only the second player (after Shane Warne) to score 2000 runs and take over 500 Test wickets; Wisden Cricketer of the Year 1996.
