How can we make hockey as popular as cricket?
This is the question which is arising day by day because cricket is giving so much to the fans, so much money to the players. The real question is that who is responsible for it. Nowadays hockey is in a very bad condition and if we do not consider the problems of it then one day will come that hockey will be vanished. The hockey is our national game and this game is loosing its power. Now we can see that hockey demand is decreasing day by day.  Hockey players traveling facilities is also not good in some ways. Proper facilities to the players in cricket motivate cricketers to play good cricket, same should be done with hockey. When India won the t 20 Worldcup(cricket) in 2007 and India hockey team won the Asia cup(hockey) in 2007 then our president called the both teams for a meeting. It motivated the players. What can be more bad than this "India not Qualifying for the Olympics".
Media has created so much hype on cricketers that their single thing are on their camera .The hockey players have no advertisement with them and by this they are not able to earn their livelihood. Cricket's extra amount of money, good management  is very good but same should be for the hockey .In an interview a famous a legend in the hockey says "I will never force my child to come in the hockey". Media is the one by which everyone is connected and therefore it is the duty of media to lift hockey. If we want hockey back then we should all stand besides the hockey not against it.Films like Chak de India should be promoted to promote hockey. Everything should be started again. A rebuilding process should be implemented.We should have proper planning to rebuild the whole structure.
