India's cricket team that was selected for the World Cup which started from 19th February 2011 in the sub-continent.
 
The team was led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the Captain and Virender Sehwag as the Vice Captain. Others included are Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Sreesanth, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin and Piyush Chawla.

About this Cricket World Cup

The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the tenth Cricket World Cup and was hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries: India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The World Cup took place between February and early April 2011, with the first match played on 19 February 2011 with co-hosts India and Bangladesh , faced off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The opening ceremony was held on 17 February 2011, two days before the start of the tournament.The tournament was broadcasted all around the world in about 220 countries.

Stumpy was the official mascot for the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
